Sofia Kuglics, the brand, was an idea born back in my childhood years. Always wanting to design and sew new dresses... well, admittedly mainly princess gowns for the many balls I planned to attend in my adult years, After many years of planning, and delays coming from having a full time job, getting married, having two kids and two dogs... and loving to travel, the years quickly flew past... and the Cinderella dream didn't turn into a pumpkin, but trying to draw a fine line between dream and reality, I realized marching up to the supermarket counter in a princess gown just wouldn't do it. One has to adjust.

So even if I still dream about ball gowns, I am trying to make you feel like you are going to a ball in Vienna, while wearing my dress when driving the 7-seater not-so-pumpkin-like-carriage to the kids football practice.

The styles I make, remain close to the dream it all started out as: There is always travel inspiring my dresses, and when you wear my dresses, I hope you feel the stone floors of le Louvre, the smell of coffee from the Carlyle, the taste of whipped cream off a chocolate cake while listening to the violin playing gypsy music at the Gerbaud, that you hear the music of waves of the Pacific Ocean hit the lava cliffs of Maui, or just the whimsical feeling of following the patterns walking down Lisbon's Avenida da Liberdad.

Not compromising the style, while still not stumling over meters of tulle when walking your dog.
